While our students and teachers are enjoying summer vacation, this is the perfect time for our Buildings and Grounds department to coordinate projects across the district! This summer, we are continuing with our HVAC upgrades and flooring replacement projects. These are ongoing projects that will eventually affect each of our 11 school buildings. In addition, our East Auditorium is receiving a lighting upgrade with the installation of new LED bulbs.
The HVAC upgrades feature quieter, energy efficient units in the buildings, providing a savings to the district through energy costs. We have also been eliminating carpeting in our schools in exchange for more durable flooring that is easier to maintain and keep clean; this also provides long-term savings and improved air quality. The LED lights in the auditorium not only provide better lighting but are a long-term cost savings to the district.
All projects are on track to be completed prior to the start of school. We can't wait for our students and staff to see their new upgrades!
